Unarguably the biggest spectacle on planet earth where billions and billions of people are stuck on their couch for a whole month while everything else (well most of it) is put on the side burner. The focus is solely on one thing and one thing only, game of two halves played by 11 people each in two teams who sole purpose is to just win. And by win I mean not just the trophy but also the hearts and praises of the paying audience. In this process of trying to achieve immortality, many lose their heart, some lose their senses, some let go of their judgement while a few have even lost their precious lives. But the chosen few who pass their way through every barrier, who wade their way through every defence, who light up the whole world with one wave of their lacy wands and those who stand their ground and say “Thou shall not pass”.
